She’s currently working on 3 plays, two of which will soon be at Usine C. She will also play at the Place des Arts in March, where we’ll see here in the Hänsel and Gretel opera from the Théâtre Sans Fil.

We will also see Sonia in April in Les Mains Noires from Pascal Brullemans, a creation presented in Montreal and produced by Peter Batakliev, as well as in Or Blanc, an average-length movie, by Jonathan Levert.

For a second consecutive year, she will play Isabelle in Le Capitaine Fracasse, an epic love story produced by the Picouille theater and presented by the Maisons de la culture montréalaises.

Finally, Marie-Eve will pursue exploratory work with the Bouches Décousues theater company. Under the guidance of Jasmine Dubé and Pascal Chevarie, she will explore various themes with other creators with the idea of creating shows for the children.

This fall, Sonia will participate in the creation of a play inspired by the true story of a black slave executed in Montreal, in 1734. The play will be produced by the Théâtre Décalage in collaboration with MAI (Montréal, arts interculturels) and the Centre d’histoire de Montréal.

The play Hänsel and Gretel from the Théâtre Sans Fil is scheduled to tour Mexico in October 2008. Additional dates are scheduled in the Spring to tour many states of America.

Sonia is also busy with two upcoming projects to be seen on the stages of Montreal…to follow!

On December 12, 13 and 14, she will also play in La Pastorale des Santons de Provence, adapted from Pastorale du Berger David by Yvan Audouard. A production of Théâtre de la p’tite mort. The representations will be held at the Saint-Pierre Apôtre church in Montreal (in front of Radio-Canada).

The second play will take place August 1, 2 and 3 on the piers of Québec city for the “400ème”. Caroline will be accompanied by Louis Tremblay of La Tête de Pioche to present Les Joyeux Bouchers, a brand new creation inspired by Boris Vian. The play will also be presented in Trois-Rivières and at ManiGanses, the Festival International des Arts de la Marionnette de Jonquière.

In July, she will be in Banff, Alberta, to present the last creation from Théâtre Sans Fil: Le Royaume des devins.

From May 22 to May 24th, she will play in some excerpts the play which was presented in Mexico, for the Salon International du design de Montréal event.

This summer, she will assist in the staging and directing of Endormi(e)s, in which the first phase of creation will be presented at the end of May, at the Festival OFFTA event.

Sonia Gadbois will also be part of the cast for the film Ménage d’été, directed by Jonathan Levert.

Louis Tremblay will play in La Grande pêche de Léon, presented by La Tête de pioche from July 7th to July 13th and from September 14th to September 16th at the Espace 400e in Québec city.

Louis Tremblay will play in Les Joyeux bouchers, presented by La Tête de pioche from July 26th to August 30th for the Soirées de Théâtre Insolites event, presented by Les Sages fous (Trois-Rivières) and on August 1st, 2nd and 3rd at the Espace 400e in Québec city.

Louis Tremblay will play in Le Savant fou (working title), presented by La Tête de pioche from August 18th to August 24th at the Espace 400e in Québec city.

Édith Patenaude will play the role of Rachel in Les Arbres, written, directed and produced by Édith Patenaude in collaboration with Krystel Descary, presented in Montreal, in June 2008, at the Fringe Festival.

Édith Patenaude will interpret the role of Georgeanne in Cinq femme portant la même robe, a play by Allen Ball, at the Premier Acte Theatre in Québec, in February 2009.

Édith Patenaude will be on stage at the Plaines d’Abraham for a Saint-Jean Baptiste show held on June 23rd, 2008. The show, in which Édith will interpret different historical characters with Guillaume Lemay-Thivierge, will be broadcasted on Radio-Canada. The premise of this event is to celebrate the 400th anniversity of Québec city.

• Une maison face au nord, by Jean-Rock Gaudreault, a co-production of Théâtre La Rubrique of Jonquière and Théâtre Français de Toronto presented at Salle Pierrette-Gaudreault in Jonquière from January 27th to February 14th, 2009 and at the Berkeley Street Theatre in Toronto from February 25th to March 8th, 2009, in the role of Henriquez.
