Karl Hardy joins the agency

Karl Hardy is a reporter for the Montreal-based Magazine Urbain and for the cultural review on the Soundbeat website. He enjoys a growing popularity on social networks such as Facebook and Twitter. His blog is now a complete website, having attracted 15,000 visitors since its launch in January 2010.

He has interviewed many popular Quebec personalities such as Marie-Andrée Poulin, the singer-songwriter Anik Jean and the news reporter Sébastien Diaz. His many interviews and meetings have provided him with an extensive network amongst the Quebec star system.

Karim Babin in Truth & Treason

Karim Babin has started rehearsing for Truth & Treason, Rahul Varma’s lastest play. Karim will play Ahmed, an iraqi policeman. The play will run from September 8th to the 19th 2009, at the Monument National.

In addition, Karim will also do voice work for the character of Mr Rudy, a mole, in the animated series Alfred Hérisson currently in production and destined for the France market.

Upcoming project for Sonia Gadbois

Sonia Gadbois is starting the year with some voice-over work and a special participation to a cultural show hosted by Vincent Graton, “La culture pour les nuls”

She’s currently working on 3 plays, two of which will soon be at Usine C. She will also play at the Place des Arts in March, where we’ll see here in the Hänsel and Gretel opera from the Théâtre Sans Fil.

We will also see Sonia in April in Les Mains Noires from Pascal Brullemans, a creation presented in Montreal and produced by Peter Batakliev, as well as in Or Blanc, an average-length movie, by Jonathan Levert.

A joyous November for Marie-Eve Huot

Marie-Eve has just won an award from the Conseil des Arts de Montréal providing her an opportunity to work within the Carrousel, a theater company for the youth which has been active for 35 years on the national and international scene. During 22 weeks, she will shadow Gervais Gaudreault and Suzanne Lebeau’s day-do-day activities in order to develop the skills required in the artistical direction of a theater company.

Finally, Marie-Eve will pursue exploratory work with the Bouches Décousues theater company. Under the guidance of Jasmine Dubé and Pascal Chevarie, she will explore various themes with other creators with the idea of creating shows for the children.

Fall 2008, according to Sonia Gadbois

Sonia Gadbois was part of the cast in the medium-feature film L’or Blanc. Filming ended in August. The release is scheduled for December 2008.

This fall, Sonia will participate in the creation of a play inspired by the true story of a black slave executed in Montreal, in 1734. The play will be produced by the Théâtre Décalage in collaboration with MAI (Montréal, arts interculturels) and the Centre d’histoire de Montréal.

The play Hänsel and Gretel from the Théâtre Sans Fil is scheduled to tour Mexico in October 2008. Additional dates are scheduled in the Spring to tour many states of America.
